A Ten-Year Journey to End Homelessness in Evansville and Vanderburgh County
As the result of a two-year collaborative effort involving over 200 individuals, Destination: Home establishes the parameters for ending homelessness in our community by addressing both the root causes and the effects of homelessness.

- Homeless Healthcare Coalition: working to create a seamless delivery system for medical care.
- Housing Committee: working to develop specific housing models proven to effectively end homelessness.
- Homeless Youth Coalition: working to identify the needs of homeless youth and develop best practice programs to prevent and shorten the episode of homelessness
- Raising Incomes: working to coordinate existing programs and develop new strategies to help homeless clients obtain higher skills jobs and build assets

Goals for the remaining years of the plan 2011-2014
- Increase volunteer base, committee leadership and members for specific projects such as: Bridges, Circles, PlaySpaces
- Continue to monitor the plan, adjusting as needed
- Increase emphasis on Housing and Community Awareness
- Continue funding of existing homeless services Maintain momentum
