2006 Calendar Project

[NOTE: In our 2005 Annual Report, we inadvertently failed to recognize the Evansville Courier Company, the Scripps Howard Foundation, and Audubon Printers for their participation and/or contributions that made this project possible.  We apologize for this oversight.]

Several young artists gathered on September 20, 2005, to create works of art, which became part of the "Changing Seasons, Changing Lives" 2006 calendar.

This calendar project was designed with three important goals:

  • To make our community aware of the fact that the fastest growing segment of the homeless population are families

  • To promote Aurora's new name (formerly Evansville Coalition for the Homeless or ECHO)

  • To raise funds in order to make more programs available that can help homeless families and individuals reach their Destination:Home

  • To showcase the talents and abilities of children who have received assistance from Aurora's programs.

Aurora is grateful for all who participated in the 2006 Calendar Project:

Special Thanks

  • Evansville Courier Co. for hosting the artists, promoting calendar sales, selling calendars at their office

  • Blaine Henry @ blindmonkeydesign.com for handling the photos and design of the calendar

  • Audubon Printers for printing the calendars

  • the Scripps Howard Foundation for partial funding to offset printing costs

Additional Thanks

  • the children who participated in this project and their families!

This project was made possible with partial funding through a grant from the Evansville Courier & Press and Scripps Howard Foundation.
